We have been up in the Seattle area visiting my Mom for the last few days. I was really hoping for some rainy, overcast weather, but we lucked out and it was beautiful. It was a very busy weekend; we pulled up the carpet to expose the original 1961 hardwood floors. While Jerry was working his a$$ off, I was moving breakables, trying to look busy, and doing more picture taking than work. Yes, as someone on my Facebook page said….I was in heaven!
The other day I posted a blog with some of my favorite pottery pieces in my Mom’s collection. This post is of the Atomic Mom’s vintage bowl collection. I didn’t realize she has so many….it’s no secret where I inherited my love of vintage everything!
I don’t think I have had a post with so many pictures before….hang on to your hat, and enjoy!
My Mom received this Sierra Vista Cookie Jar for her high school graduation in 1958. She’s a little beat up (the cookie jar), but still gorgeous!
The Hull Mixing bowl was once the Atomic Mom’s Grandmothers. Again, a bit chippy, but very special!
My Mom spotted this Jadite batter bowl at a garage sale, threw the 50 cents, and ran before they knew what they were selling!
This was a fun post for me. The Atomic Mom remembers where most of these came from, how much she paid, and even said I bought her the Oxford Stoneware set….I don’t remember that! The collection is all washed, dried, and I’m off to put them all away. xxoo
