AH Crafty Challenge – Glittered Halloween Decor

So far the neighborhoods we have lived in have not been those coveted neighborhoods that kids seek out, and then bus into on Halloween night for the best candy, or even full size candy bars. Last year we thought, finally, we were in the right house, in the right neighborhood. We stocked up on tons of candy, moved the fire pit to the driveway, poured a cocktail, and sat out front with our music waiting for the herds of kids to come screaming up the driveway. Well, we enjoyed our night in the driveway, but we only had a total of 7 kids, 4 of which were way beyond their Trick or Treating prime.

We had better luck with our Halloween party turnout than we did our Trick or Treater turnout. For the party I made some glitter skulls. Quick instructions – picked up skulls at Michael’s, painted them black, used my favorite 3M adhesive spray, and glitted them all up with Martha Stewart’s silver colored glitter.

For this week’s challenge I’m going to add to our Halloween decor. Initially I was hoping to glitter up some owls, but after a trip to Hobby Lobby we came away with bits and pieces to make a wall hanging, or wreath sort of thing. Not quite sure what I’m going to throw together, but I do know there will be glitter involved!

This week I'll be adding to the Halloween decor. Not sure what I'll be putting together, but there will be glitter involved!
