Painted Display / Bookcase Reveal – AHCC

I’m very excited about this finished display / bookshelf Jerry built, and I painted. No, it’s not quite the right shade, but the blue and white reminds me a bit of a Tiffany’s box. And I’m loving how it looks in my office. At first I was worried my office color palette was all over the board, too many colors, but I think it’s come together; yellow, turquoise, black, white, and a few gold touches here and there.

Painting this piece I just did the basics. I used Ace Valspar Sweet White, and the blue is called Music Festival. I used a latex with eggshell finish, and didnt mix in any chalk powder. Then finished it up with some Minwax paste wax. The pallet boards on top and bottom, I used the same vinegar & steel wool sludge to age the wood. Done!

With the extra space on the shelves, I will be able to display, and use one shelf to photograph items for my Etsy shop.

The final reveal of the painted display / bookcase. I think this will be a great spot to display etsy listings before they sell.

Vintage Christmas Shiny Brites & Scale. I'm liking the silver pieces look nice mixed in there too.
