Home Office Decor – TV Remote Holder

This week I’m not going to hold myself to a Crafty Challenge, but I have enough going on that I’ll be able to post a few blogs. I think most of us do the mad scramble to get projects done when family, or friends come to visit. The holidays are perfect for that! So, throughout the week, I’ll post a nightstand / side table makeover, which we picked up in the alley. I also finished up an ugly lamp makeover….I actually spray painted the lamp shade. I swear all the craft, and hardware stores are going to flag, and add me to a “no buy list” for spray paint.

Totally unrelated to the side table, and lamp projects; I have had an obsession with vintage platters, and silver plated trays, oh….for about a year now. I prefer them with a good patina on them; ha, it’s the only shiny thing that I actually don’t like shiny. I was riffling through my stash and found the perfect TV remote control holder for my office desk. A silver plated butter dish! I’m not sure where the top is. I’m sure it’s somewhere, but I love this, and wanted to share. It’s perfect for home office decor.

Anchor Hocking Manhattan Carafe / Pitcher

Manhattan on a Platter - this Anchor Hocking Manhattan pitcher / jar is mine, BUT I do have one in the AtomicHostess Etsy shop.

I suppose I could just put the remote in my desk drawer, but doesn't this look cute!? Bottom half of a silver plated butter dish is the perfect size for your TV remote control.

Now that I'm thinking about it, any vintage butter dish might work as a TV remote holder....put the lid on to hide it.
