Mobile Desk

I am forever lugging my computer, magazines, and notebooks from room to room. After looking around for ideas, Jerry stumbled on a great blog, Upcycled Treasures, and a great idea for a mobile desk / bed tray. I don’t have the exact post, but they have so many great ideas on their blog.

Total time to make this project is around two hours, including glue drying time. Total cost is somewhere around $70; again, the copper is a little pricey. You could cut costs by using unfinished black, or steel pipe.

The Mobile Desk is 30″ x 14″ (legs are 8″ and the tray height is 12″ total)

I LOVE IT!

Here are the materials needed. 3/4" L copper pipe, bell hangers, end caps, 90* elbows, and the wood we used is Douglas Fir.
