I mentioned in a post last week, that I was planning to bring back my Atomic Hostess Crafty Challenge #AHCC. I haven’t been slacking on projects, but I see something shiny, get distracted, and start something new. The challenge I created for myself did, and hopefully will again, help to keep me on track.
My office….sore subject; I started a makeover on my office months ago. Since then I painted, hung new drapes, Jerry built me a tall work bench, the list goes on. My office is in DIY purgatory; it seems it will never be “done”.
Because we recently did some desk swap arounds, the that desk that is in my office now doesn’t have file drawer space. So, this week the plan is to take this rolling file cabinet, that I received years ago when they closed our regional sales offices. It’s a great piece, but f-ugly! Why they fill offices with that awful depressing “putty gray beige” color, I will never know.
I’m going to spray paint it up and recover the fabric seat that is attached with hook and loop aka velcro.
This one should be pretty simple. I’ll just need some spray paint, blue painters tape, fabric to recover the top, and a staple gun.
Wish me luck! It’s less about luck, and more about working things into my schedule with my new job at work work. Click here to see how it turned out!
