Holly Roller; Utility Cart

It’s finally painted, and done! Jerry built this utility cart a couple months ago (at least a couple months ago). Even in it’s unfinished state, it’s been a great piece to have. Right now I use the utility cart to hold all our AH Finds for the Etsy shop, rolling all our prized junk from the kitchen sink to be washed up, to my office to be photographed, then out to the shop storage shelves.

Now it’s useful and cute! Later, maybe it will become a very large bar cart, or potting bench for my garden in the making.

I used a flat latex gray paint, and mixed up my own chalk paint – click here for the recipe. I painted the whole piece gray, then used the bright Pepto Pink to paint the top of each shelf, and finished it up with a Minwax wax paste. No need to distress this piece, my walls and utility cart should be distressed in no time.

Inspired by the pink shelves, she shall be called…..”Holly Roller”!

She's done!

I absolutely love the colors you chose for the cart! Pink is by far my favorite color, especially that shade 🙂 I have been really trying to do more chalk paint projects, but I can never find any around my area that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. I am checking our your recipe now, and I think I may try to make it soon 🙂

Yay! Let me know what you think of the recipe after you try it out. I’ve used it a few times now, and have been very happy with the results. Pink is one of my top two favorite colors 🙂 I knew I liked you. haha
