AH Crafty Challenge – Alter King Pillowcases to Standard

I’m on a bit of a sewing kick, so I’m going to take advantage. Okay, if a “kick” constitutes one slip cover, then yes, I’m on a kick. At estate sales I find some of the most beautiful heavy cotton linens; those heavy cotton pillowcases always feel so crispy cool. I have a few king size pillowcases that need to be altered down to standard pillow size before we can use them. This seems like the perfect small project for this week’s AH Crafty Challenge.

Now I’m slipping into random thoughts. In the past did people use king size pillows & pillowcases more? They always seem so big and cumbersome. I prefer to be surrounded by lots of fluffy standard size pillows. What about you?

If I get time, maybe I’ll do some other fancy pillowcase stuff too, no promises though. I’m on vacation this week AND Jerry and I celebrate our 2nd Anniversary this week; making this project even more appropriate. Not because it’s associated with pillowcases and bed, (wahaha smutty) but because cotton is the “modern” 2nd Anniversary gift theme.
