It was a hectic couple weeks leading up to our first vintage market for the year. We had several furniture pieces I wanted to finish specifically to have at the Driving Miz Daisy Vintage Market. We worked our booties off the weekend prior, then I was off to Chicago for work work, and when I landed in Orange County we were back at it; with a hard cider in hand….I’m really liking those lately.
We were tired, and close enough to done, and guess what I did? Eeeeek…I set the d@mn alarm clock for the wrong time. Sunday morning we were an hour behind schedule, and of course that’s the time when if it can go wrong, it will. After a few glitches, it all worked out. Char & Shelly, the organizers of the show were sweet as could be, we got parked, set up, and had a great day.
So many nice people came by, talked vintage trailers with us, and did a little shopping. For those that wanted to take a peek at our trailer, we warned them that we haven’t started her rehab, and she was a wreck because of our frantic late frenzy. About half way through the day, a girl about 7, decked out in a cute dress and hair curled up stylish as can be, asked if she could look in our trailer. I gave her the same spiel. She was in there for all of two seconds, stepped out the door with a sour look on her face, looked at me with her head cocked to the side and said “you really should clean that thing, it’s a mess!”. Waaahaha…..out of the mouths of babes.
I didn’t get a chance to shop the vendors other than our neighbor Marilyn aka Lil Green Wagon. I bought some all natural lemongrass laundry soap; it’s divine!
Since I didn’t get to shop, some of the pictures below are from the May Driving Miz Daisy Vintage Market.
We’ll be at the show again July 12th at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo. Stop by, say hello, and have a donut.
