spray on primer: have you used it & what do you think of it?

I recently bought a can of spray on Krylon primer for a small project I was working on; I can’t even remember what the project was now. Rather than shoving the pretty much full can of primer in the closet with the rest of my spray paint collection, I tried it out on a piece of furniture hanging out in our backyard. Okay, why was I resistant to the idea? Don’t get me wrong, I know some people use spray paint  on furniture, and I won’t be doing that, BUT why didn’t I try the primer? I love it!

Spray on primer is perfect for projects with a lot of detail; like the four chairs I’ve been avoiding. The cost is a little more expensive, but as Jerry’s financial & numbers driven mind pointed out to me, the time saved using spray can primer is actually LESS in my “hourly wages”. I’m sold!

Why did I resist spray on primer?

Here’s my other question for you, at 26″ tall what would you use this piece for? The dimensions make me think it’s more of a TV / Entertainment console, but it could also be a “short” sideboard or buffet. What do you think?

Have you, or would you try spray on primer for your restyled vintage furniture projects?

Hmmm, and now, what color to paint? So many important decisions to be made….heehee! Hopefully after pictures are coming soon.
