Part of the fun of an estate sale is getting a “home tour”. We were in the mood for an estate sale, but since it was New Years Eve we didn’t have high expectations. It was the final day for this sale in Old Towne Orange; worth the stop to get a peek inside the old Spanish Colonial home before heading over to The Potting Shed.
The house needs work, but it has so many charming features. The plot size allowed for a barn and a detached garage in the back.
I was rockin’ my estate “salewear”, minus my Johnny Cash t-shirt (xoxo D!); new sparkly Vans, Louis Vuitton, and of course a few strands of pearls. Just as a side note: because someone loves estate sales and thrift stores, it should never be assumed that this is an only option! It means they’re creative.
After going through the pictures I definitely didn’t do this old house justice. Obviously, my favorite part of the tour was the bathrooms with all the gorgeous tile.
The last day of the sale and pretty much everything was cleaned out. I did score a brass chandelier for $15. I have a few jars full of chandelier crystals; Pinterest will have lots of ideas for me!
