A recap of Pearl’s Picks for the Twelve Days of Christmas compiled right here. If you’re stuck for gift giving ideas, I’m hoping this list of favorites may spark a few ideas. Good luck! And remember, a martini before you hit the ground shopping is always helpful, well it is for me anyway.
Day One: On the first day of Christmas Pearl has developed a bit of a crush on Ted Baker and his products. His products are beautiful and he has a sense of humor woven into the overall brand.
Day Two: The second day of Christmas is for the love of Louis Vuitton. Louis V is always by my side while we are out thrift shopping. It’s all part of my “lucky” outfit so the thrifting gods shine down upon me. Someday I WILL find a vintage Louis Vuitton trunk out there in the wild.
Day Three: I have never received so many compliments on a pair of shoes before. My ombre sparkly shoes by Yosi Samra don’t go unnoticed. That is pick for the third day of Christmas.
Day Four: The selection is cozy. Warm, fuzzy, soft textured scarves, blankets and sweaters.
On the fifth day of Christmas, it has to be “five golden rings”, but one means more to me than five! My Mom and Dad gave me my Mama’s first wedding band. It is a wide gold comfort band and I cherish it forever.
Day Five through Day Nine: Notebooks, Pencil Cases, Bullet Journaling, Gel Pens and Magazine Subscriptions. All great stocking stuffers!
More favorites coming soon!
I almost forgot to give you the “blurb”. I am not affiliated with any of the products selected in Pearl’s Picks. They truly are just favorites being shared with no strings attached.
The Atomic Hostess’ juju Pearl is heading out on an adventure. We sat down for a little interview over happy hour (and the reality of this is me, sitting in my office at cocktail:30 to get in my daily goal of 700+ words done).
Atomic Hostess (AH): Since we are conducting our interview over happy hour, what is your favorite cocktail at the moment?
Pearl: I love vodka fizz served in one of the cocktail glasses from my mid-century collection. Have you seen those cute Hazel Atlas glasses with my brother Harvey on them? Some days that pink elephant in the room is out of control!
AH: That drink looks delicious Pearl. Would you mind sharing the recipe?
Pearl: I never mind sharing my favorite recipes, ideas, vintage honey holes, or even DIY tips. Currently my favorite drink is a Vodka Limonata Fizz:
- In your favorite vintage glass of the day, add one jigger (and a splash if that’s your preference) of Kettle or Grey Goose Vodka over just a few ice cubes. Don’t bother with that mini pony size shot.
- Fill the glass half way with Sanpellegrino sparkling Limonata; they carry this at Trader Joe’s. Sanpellegrino also makes other flavors like blood orange, orange, and I can’t remember the others.
- Top it off with 7-Up and use one of the cute long twistly handle stir spoons (my favorite has a pearl on the end of the handle).
Now, just be sure not to make the mistake of using that cute new cocktail shaker for this recipe. No hostess needs to be in the bathroom trying to repair her up-do after being sprayed with sparkling Limonata.
AH: Pearl what are your plans and objectives for your upcoming adventure?
Pearl: I’m really looking forward to traveling across country and meeting all of the Atomic Hostess customers. Truly, they are some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met.
AH: Are there any specific cities you are hoping to visit?
Pearl: Yes! In 2017 there are a couple cities on my annual bucket list to visit. New Orleans, and I’d like to travel to Tennessee for that 127 mile yard sale, bigger than a pink 6,000 pound elephant. Ummm, of course I’m looking forward to laying on the beach in Kauai….it’s the bathing suit shopping I am not looking forward to!
Disclaimer: The adventures of Pearl is a fictional character that may or may not be based on someone I may or may not know. No elephants were harmed in the making of these events, but I can say for certain, the Vodka Lemon Fizz cocktail was enjoyed.
